A PowerVox Programme
The VQ Programme
Executive communication for the conversations that carry consequence.
Invest in the asset that shapes every room you walk into - your ability to communicate with clarity, authority and resolve when the conversation carries consequence.
For senior women - leaders, founders and executives whose roles are shaped by difficult conversations, influence, negotiation and consequence. A six-week live cohort, led by PowerVox founder, Rachel Flower.
Next cohort begins 1 October 2026The Pattern
You already know what's happening.
You walk into the room knowing exactly what needs to be said. Then something shifts. You soften the opening. You hedge the recommendation. You over-explain the thing that should have landed in one sentence. By the time you've finished, the sharpest version of your thinking is still sitting inside you - unsaid.
It's not a confidence problem. It's a pattern. One you learned early, reinforced often, and now run on autopilot in every room that carries consequence.
The board meeting. The difficult conversation with your peer. The email to your CEO that you've rewritten four times. The moment you needed to hold your ground — and instead, you made space for everyone else.
You're not here because you can't communicate. You're here because something keeps getting lost between what you know and what comes out.
Why I built The VQ Programme
Rachel Flower · Founder, PowerVox
PowerVox evolved from Serenwood - a commercial consultancy I have run for fifteen years inside boardrooms, executive teams and complex transformation programmes. The work has been in environments where the wrong word costs a deal, a mandate, a contract. Law. Political environments. Negotiation. Restructure. The rooms where communication is not a soft skill - it is the operating condition.
The VQ Programme is the programme I built because the women in those rooms kept asking me the same thing: "How do I do what you do - under that pressure, in that room, without losing myself?"
It is not a confidence course. It is not voice coaching in the theatrical sense. It is the structured, practised work of saying the real thing — under pressure, under scrutiny, under consequence - and being heard exactly as you intended.
I run every cohort myself. You work with me in real time alongside selected peers: it's hands-on, practical and transformative. If you're in the room, you're in the room with me.
The Shift
From editing yourself to leading with your voice.
The VQ Programme takes you from self-protective communication to intentional, high-impact voice under consequence. Over six weeks, in a small cohort of senior women, you'll do the work that most leadership programmes skip entirely: learning to say the real thing, in the room that matters, when the stakes are high.
This isn't about being louder. It's about being clearer. It's about knowing what you think, saying it without apology, and holding your position when the room pushes back.
See it clearly
Before you can change the pattern, you need to see it. We hold up the mirror — not to judge, but to reveal what's been happening beneath the surface of every conversation.
Build the muscle
Practise saying the hard things in a room that won't punish you for it. Power Room simulations put you in high-stakes scenarios so you're ready when it counts.
Take it into the room
Apply it where it counts — the boardroom, the difficult conversation, the message you've been sitting on. This is where insight becomes action.
The Journey
Six weeks. Five distinct shifts.
The VQ Programme follows the PowerVox Voice Ladder™ — moving you from Control through Clarity to Influence. Each week builds on the last. Nothing is theoretical. Everything is practised.
Seeing It Clearly
You'll analyse your own communication using The Black Egg — our AI-driven voice analysis tool — and see, for the first time, the gap between what you intend and what actually lands. Awareness before action.
Understanding the Mechanics
Why do you soften under pressure? Why does your voice change depending on who's in the room? This phase unpacks the patterns, the triggers, and the environments that shape how you show up.
Practising in Safety
In a safe, facilitated cohort environment, you practise saying the things you've been holding back. Power Room simulations put you in high-stakes scenarios — stakeholder pushback, board-level challenge, difficult upward conversations — so you build the muscle before the real moment arrives.
Applying in Reality
Theory meets the real world. You prepare for a specific, real conversation using the PowerVox preparation framework — then you go and have it. Your cohort holds you accountable.
Integration
You re-analyse your original message from Week 1 and see the distance you've travelled. You build a personal voice compass — your principles for communicating under consequence — and leave with a practice that lasts.
What's Inside
What every week looks like.
Live cohort sessions
90 minutes, weekly, facilitated by PowerVox founder Rachel Flower. Teaching, live coaching, group practice, and real-time feedback. This is where the deepest shifts happen.
The Black Egg voice analysis
Each week, you'll use The Black Egg to analyse real messages and communications. Watch the gap between what you intend and what lands — then close it, iteratively, in real time.
Guided reflection
A weekly written prompt that helps you process what you're discovering. Not homework. A conversation with yourself about what's changing.
Practice challenges
Real-world application, every week. Notice a pattern. Write both versions. Have the conversation you've been avoiding. This is where the learning becomes lived.
Power Room simulations
Facilitated group scenarios that put you in high-consequence moments — stakeholder pushback, board presentations, difficult peer conversations. Practise holding your ground in a room designed for you to grow.

After The VQ Programme
What the programme is built to produce.
No two leaders leave with the same voice. They do leave with these in common.
- Handle board challenge differently
- Speak with less hedging
- Land messages faster
- Hold difficult conversations without retreating
- Reduce self-editing
- Hold authority under pushback
- Lead with greater clarity
Who This Is For
The VQ Programme is for senior leaders, founders and executives whose roles are shaped by difficult conversations, influence, negotiation and consequence.
You're operating in environments where the wrong word costs something real — a contract, a relationship, a position. Where the conversation that lands well changes the trajectory of a quarter, a deal, a team.
You're not looking for confidence work or executive presence training. You're looking for the practised capability to hold the room when the room pushes back.
Delivered in small single-gender cohorts of 10 to 12 women, by design. The work goes deeper when the room is intimate and operates with full candour.

For organisations
Available as a private organisational cohort.
Leadership teams and women's leadership networks can commission The VQ Programme as an internal programme — delivered to your organisation, tailored to the rooms your leaders walk into. Larger groups are delivered as multiple small cohorts, so the room stays intimate and the work stays deep. Currently delivered to women's cohorts; mixed cohorts on request.
Many of the women drawn to The VQ Programme are decision-makers themselves. If that's you — and you can see this work landing across your leadership team — we'd welcome a conversation with you, or an introduction to your L&D or people team.

Want your organisation to fund your place?
If you'd like your employer to sponsor your participation, we've prepared a short, editable template you can adapt — a ready-made case to put to your manager, L&D or HR team, covering the rationale, the outcomes, and the investment.
CPD accreditation planned — so that in future, professionals can count The VQ Programme toward continuing professional development and access CPD-linked funding routes.
The programme ends. The growth doesn't.
The VQ Programme is six weeks of intensive transformation. But the women who go through it often say the same thing: I don't want this to stop.
It doesn't have to. After the programme, graduates are invited into an ongoing community where the work continues — where you keep practising, keep sharpening, and keep growing alongside women who speak from the same place of truth.
More on that when you get there. For now, the six weeks are what matters.
