Keynote Topics
Each keynote is tailored to your audience, your industry, and the specific leadership dynamics in your organisation. These are starting points, not scripts.
01
The Dimension Nobody’s Measuring
Every leadership assessment measures how well your people speak. None of them measure whether they noticed what was happening in the room before they opened their mouth. Signal — the ability to read vocal shifts, emotional undercurrents, and unspoken tensions — is the missing dimension of leadership communication. Your leaders had it at eight. Professional life trained it out of them. This keynote shows them how to get it back.
Audiences leave with: The Signal Scan — a 60-second practice they can use before every important meeting.
02
The Human Voice in the Age of AI
AI can generate the strategy deck, the board paper, the comms plan. What it cannot do: read the room, hold the tension, name the unspoken, or create trust through voice. In the age of intelligence, the differentiating leadership capability is not what you know — it’s how you communicate what you know. This keynote reframes leadership voice as the critical human advantage that no technology can replicate.
Audiences leave with: A new understanding of VQ — Voice Quotient — and why it matters more than ever.
03
She’s Not Lacking Confidence. She’s Navigating Consequence.
The credibility tax. The double bind. The quiet calculation every senior woman runs before every meeting: how much of what I’m thinking can I actually say here? This keynote names the structural barriers that generic leadership development ignores — and offers a framework for developing strategic voice that doesn’t require women to perform someone else’s version of authority.
Audiences leave with: The perception paradox – why women read rooms better but speak less.
04
From Clarity to Influence: Why Most Leaders Stop Too Early
Most leadership communication training gets leaders to Clarity – clean, understood messages. Then it stops. But Clarity is not Influence. Understanding is not movement. This keynote introduces the Voice Ladder – the progression from Control through Clarity to Influence – and shows leaders what it takes to communicate in a way that doesn’t just inform, but moves decisions, aligns teams, and changes outcomes.
Audiences leave with: The Voice Path – six dimensions they can self-assess immediately.

About Rachel

Rachel Flower is an experienced commercial lawyer turned leadership communication specialist who has spent two decades in the rooms where voice matters most: courtrooms, boardrooms, dispute resolution and mediations, and the high-stakes conversations where what you say – and how you say it – changes the outcome.

She created PowerVox because she kept seeing the same thing: brilliant leaders walking out of rooms where they hadn’t said the thing that needed to be said. Not because they didn’t know. Because they’d learned, through experience, that speaking up carries a cost.

Rachel’s methodology — built around VQ (Voice Quotient) and the proprietary VQHQ framework — integrates intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, and vocal intelligence into a single developmental model. It is the only leadership communication framework in the UK that measures both how leaders express and how they perceive.

She brings something unusual to the stage: the precision of a lawyer, the warmth of a coach, the pattern recognition of someone who has sat across the table from hundreds of senior leaders, and the personal depth of a mother who learned what voice really means when everything was at stake. Her down to earth style and sense of humour makes her engaging and relatable for audiences.

Rachel is based in Yorkshire, is the founder of PowerVox and is Group Commercial Director at Servita (a technology transformation company). She serves as Chair of Trustees for a school multi-academy trust, and is the author of two books on leadership voice and human coherence.
