Finally, the safety net you’ve been looking for.
FairGround is the Better Business Club for founders who’d rather run their commercial life on something steadier than crossed fingers.
Founding cohort opening soon.
Why we called it FairGround
For nine hundred years, a fairground was where people came to trade. To buy. To sell. To negotiate. To agree the terms of the work between them – face to face, on level ground.
The original meaning of fair was not gentle. It was just. It meant the ground itself was even.
Then the word changed. Fairground became something lighter. A place to play. A place to ride.
Anyone who has built a business knows the feeling. The rollercoaster. The merry-go-round. The ride you didn’t quite mean to buy a ticket for.
We took both meanings. Because a business needs both. Somewhere to do the serious work – to scope deals properly, negotiate from clarity, build the commercial muscle most founders never had access to. And somewhere, just as importantly, to step off the ride for a moment. To learn from people who have walked this ground before. To find your peers. To remember why you started.
That’s FairGround.

What you get when you join
FairGround is one membership with six things inside. The FairGround platform is the door to getting much-needed clarity on commercial and contractual issues. The community is the room, where you can ask questions, share challenges, create valuable connections. We’ve built the membership to give business owners the essentials they need for strong foundations.
Deal scoping
Our proprietary FairGround platform, ready for you to play with. Walk through the contract in front of you, clause by clause. Surface what to push on. Flag areas that many business owners miss. Leave with a Heads of Terms document ready to plug into an AI contract generation tool, or take to a lawyer for shorter, cheaper drafting. Think: the agreed payment terms, the liability cap you pushed for, the IP clause you didn’t know to ask about. All of it, in plain language, in an interactive platform. Single-party by default – you scope your side. Two-sided collaborative mode optional – you scope it together.
The Library
We provide a number of core templates, precedents, and clause banks for the types of agreements SMEs sign most regularly – supplier contracts, Non-Disclosure agreements, website policies, example loan sheets, employment basics. The kind of file every corporate has on hand. Most business owners don’t.
Live training
Quarterly sessions on the commercial knowledge most business owners pick up the expensive way – pricing power, equity, contract dynamics, dispute basics. Replays available. Async modules between live sessions. The training you’d have got at a corporate, scaled to people who didn’t go that route.
The advisor network
A curated list of commercial specialists – lawyers, accountants, deal-shapers, mediators, IP advisors – who work with FairGround members at agreed rates. On call when you need them. No retainer. Trusted referral routes. Priceless.
Regional gatherings
Optional attendance at in-person half-days, UK north and south. Smaller groups. Real food. Real conversation. In the room having real world discussions about business growth.
Ask an Expert
Sometimes the platform isn’t enough. Sometimes you want a real human voice on the line, reading the deal alongside you, telling you what they would push on. Ask an Expert is a 15-minute call with the PowerVox team – a Heads of Terms review, a clause-specific question, a sense-check on the contract in front of you. £75 per call. Year Pass and Founders’ Pass include calls; Day Pass and Season Pass can book on demand.
What you Gain
Heads of Terms for your deal
A clear record of your preferred position, the areas you will compromise on and what you and the other side have actually agreed – not a binding contract, but a document a lawyer can build one from in an hour rather than a week. You could also plug it into a contract generation engine to get a solid contract version based on your instruction. Skip the step and you sign something you don’t fully understand. Use it and the legal bill is shorter, the relationship is cleaner, and you walk into the room with weight under you.
People who have been here
We’re bringing together like-minded founders in FairGround who’re running the kinds of businesses you’re running. Signing the kinds of contracts you’re signing. Navigating tricky customers, demanding investors and suppliers. They’ve already made the mistakes you’re about to make. You’re not the first founder to face this deal. You’re just the first one in your inbox.
A floor under the next deal
The point isn’t to win this negotiation. It’s to walk into the next one – and the one after that – knowing what level ground feels like.
Two paths, one outcome

Scope your deal alone.
Bring a contract you’re scoping – supplier, partner, investor term sheet, customer agreement. The platform walks you through clause by clause. You leave with a Heads of Terms you can plug into an AI contract generation tool, or take to a lawyer for shorter, cheaper drafting.

Or scope it together.
If both sides want to negotiate together, FairGround can hold the room. Two parties, one structured walkthrough, a Heads of Terms both sides agreed to in real time. Slower. Cleaner relationships afterwards.
Either way, FairGround doesn’t take sides. It doesn’t tell you whether to sign. It builds level ground and lets the parties decide.
The people behind FairGround
FairGround is built by PowerVox — qualified professionals who have sat on both sides of the table. We’re commercial lawyers. Deal-shapers. Mediators. Founders. Between the team and the advisor network, more than two hundred years of practice.
Most founders sign their significant contracts before they fully understand what they’re signing up to. The line that shaped FairGround came from a client who said: ‘I signed it because I didn’t want to look like I didn’t know what I was doing.’ We’ve built the FairGround membership so business owners can grow on strong foundations and get the help they need, at a cost that makes sense.

What FairGround isn’t
Not a law firm
We don’t give legal advice. We educate, support and guide you. The Heads of Terms gives you clarity and creates your record of intent – turn it into a binding contract with your lawyer, or use it to brief a contract generation tool. We exist before the contract gets drafted, and after we help you to work with it.
Not a contract generator
We do provide a number of standard templates that live online in the library. The deal-scoping tool isn’t a generator. It’s a structured walkthrough so you understand what you’re agreeing to before any lawyer drafts anything.
Not a mediator
FairGround doesn’t take sides, doesn’t decide, doesn’t issue rulings. It empowers you with the information you need to make better business decisions and feel confident in your negotiations.
Not just for big deals
Most of the deals members scope are the £20k–£200k contracts founders sign every quarter. The ones that don’t go to lawyers because they’re “too small,” and quietly cost the business money for the next three years.
Membership tiers
Tiers are about use intensity, not access. Every member gets the platform, the library, the training, and the advisor network. The Day Pass exists so you can try the deal-scoping flow before you commit to anything.
