A force for better leadership

Growing Stronger Voices

As AI makes knowledge more abundant and accessible, the leaders who stand apart will be those who can hold complexity, act with conscience and speak with clarity under pressure.

PowerVox teaches and develops Voice Intelligence: the ability to turn what you know, think and mean into communication that lands, influences and creates impact when the stakes are high. PowerVox works with companies who have already accepted the premise: human capital is the most important investment they will make this decade.

About PowerVox

Making more human intelligence available.

PowerVox exists to advance a new understanding of human voice - one that sees our ability to access and express what we know, think and believe as a capability that can be understood, developed and measured.

We call this Voice Intelligence. We measure it as Voice Quotient™ (VQ™) - the same relationship as intelligence and IQ.

But capability is only half the story.

Whether someone's intelligence becomes available to others also depends on the conditions around them: power, trust, consequence, culture - and what happens when somebody says the difficult thing.

So our work looks at both.

The person and the room.

Through research, diagnostics, development programmes and organisational work, PowerVox is building the tools to understand both - helping more human intelligence make it into the places where decisions are made.

Better decisions require more than just intelligent people.
They require access to their intelligence in the moments that matter most, and conditions that support them to impart it.

The Real Problem

Your people know things the room never hears.

Most leaders don't struggle with capability. They struggle with what it costs to speak - the risk, the politics, the consequence of saying the thing that actually needs to be said.

So in the rooms that matter most, they hold back. They soften the message. They over-explain. They wait for the right moment - and it passes. They replay conversations afterwards, knowing they had more to offer.

Not because they lack confidence - but because they understand power.

Highly capable leaders in fast-paced environments watch decisions get challenged, reputations questioned, people labelled "too much" or "not enough." So they adapt. Voices become filtered.

This isn't simply a confidence issue. Sometimes the work is developing the individual's capacity to stay connected to what they know and express it clearly under pressure. Sometimes the problem is the room.

PowerVox works on both.

The cost isn't just personal. It slows decisions, weakens governance, and creates tension across the organisation. It costs money. It costs results.

And women face specific challenges - they experience different judgements around authority, confidence, ambition, emotion and communication. They are interrupted differently. Credited differently. Evaluated differently. Sponsored differently.

PowerVox specialises in closing the gap between intelligence and influence — developing the individual capability and understanding the conditions in which that capability has to operate.

The Cost of Silence

Organisations lose intelligence every day.

Not because their people don't have it.

Because it isn't always available, or heard.

The challenge isn't only literal silence.

It is the risk softened. The challenge not made. The dissenting view withheld. The half-formed idea abandoned. The inconvenient evidence ignored. The person who knows something important but decides the political cost of saying it isn't worth paying.

Individually, these moments can look small.

Collectively, they shape strategy, governance, innovation, culture and performance.

The cost of silence doesn't appear on the balance sheet. But organisations pay for it anyway.

PowerVox works on the gap between the intelligence an organisation has and the intelligence it can actually access.

How We Work

This is not communication training.

Let's be very clear: Voice Intelligence isn't about teaching capable people how to communicate (although it is an excellent consequence of our work).

It is about what happens to human intelligence between knowing something and making it available to others — particularly when consequence, hierarchy, uncertainty or pressure enter the room.

There are also very specific challenges facing women leaders, which create barriers to their progression.

PowerVox works as a strategic partner to shape how leaders think, speak and lead at the critical points where leadership either creates value or loses it. We work alongside senior leaders in the moments that matter: board decisions, transformation programmes and critical stakeholder conversations.

01

Bespoke programmes

Built around your real priorities, so leaders work on the decisions and dynamics they're actually facing – in real time, not in theory.

02

High-stakes simulations

Power Rooms that mirror your environment, so leaders can practise how they show up under pressure before the pressure arrives.

03

Structured frameworks

Strategic Voice Quotient™ and the Voice Ladder™ – our proprietary methodologies ensure the work is measurable, not anecdotal.

04

Direct intervention

Where decisions have stalled, we step into the room. Unlocking movement. Supporting clear, commercially strong outcomes.

Who we work with

Lining the values up.

Our mission is a collective force for good. We mean it in the ordinary, unglamorous sense: we take on work only where the client genuinely intends to act on what it finds.

A PowerVox diagnostic handed to a company that doesn't want the answer is wasted opportunity to create genuine impact and change. We'd rather say so at the start.

Voice Intelligence is a capability. Capabilities are practised, not installed. So we expect to work with our clients over a prolonged period of time - building a genuine partnership and measuring the impact of our work.

Organisational Impact

When leaders hold back, organisations feel it.

This isn't just an individual issue. It's a structural one. When capable leaders don't use their voice, decisions stall, risks go unchallenged, innovation is curtailed and culture becomes cautious. Over time, organisations pay the price: slower execution, diluted strategy, disengaged teams.

Most organisations already contain enormous amounts of intelligence, experience and judgement. The question is how much of it becomes available when decisions are actually being made.

When more human intelligence becomes available, organisations make better use of the capability they already have.

This is how voice becomes organisational value.

Why This Matters Now

Leadership is becoming more human, not less.

PowerVox exists to empower senior leaders in the age of AI. As AI accelerates, the organisations that outperform won't be those with the best tools. They'll be those where leaders can hold complexity, name what others avoid and create movement through how they speak.

Empathy. Judgement. Courage. These are no longer soft skills. Clarity under pressure is strategic advantage.

We are entering an age of abundant knowledge.

What becomes more valuable is distinctly human: judgement, discernment, courage, empathy, meaning — and the ability to make those things available to other people.

The future doesn't need more information. It needs more human intelligence in the room.

Live Cohort Programme

The VQ™ Programme

Our flagship six-week organisational cohort training programme, teaching Voice Intelligence. Participants develop the communication judgement, range and authority to operate in high-consequence environments - working on real leadership situations, not hypothetical presentation exercises. We run both women-only cohorts or ally-pathways.

Facilitated Group Support - ongoing

The Greenhouse

The Greenhouse is ongoing facilitated development for leaders that have completed The VQ™ Programme - somewhere to rehearse, challenge, experiment and keep building Voice Intelligence as a discipline. Changes are measurable over time. Where an organisation has a women's network, The Greenhouse can sit inside it. Where none exists, we can work with you to design and facilitate one. More agency. More range. More impact.

Voice Diagnostics

See it clearly. Then change it.

We have developed our proprietary diagnostic that allow us to measure, track and act on the discipline of Voice Intelligence. We use it as a baseline – then to track development through our programmes and interventions. We also use The Black Egg to analyse how written messages are likely to be received, and to close the gap.

This Isn't For Everyone

If you're looking for presentation coaching, this isn't it.

PowerVox is about how leadership actually works in real environments – in complexity, and under pressure. Not public speaking training. Not off-the-shelf leadership models.

We also build communities where thoughtful, capable leaders gather to grow, challenge themselves and become a powerful force for good.

Your voice shapes the room. What you say – and how you say it – shapes what happens next.

If you recognise the critical importance of how leadership shows up in your organisation, let's talk.
